First Wascomat Touch 200 G store - Minnesota, USA
Wascomat distribution launch site, 2025
The first store built around the 200 G-force Wascomat Touch platform - a stainless-steel-front washer line with full-colour touchscreens, a stacked dryer wall and overhead TVs, opened with a full grand-opening launch.

Why extraction is the number that matters
Every extra G of extraction removes water mechanically instead of thermally. Water pulled out in the spin is water your gas or electric dryer never has to evaporate - so higher-G washers directly reduce drying minutes, gas consumption and dryer queueing.
At 200 G the residual moisture leaving the washer is dramatically lower than the 80–100 G machines still common in older Australian stores. The saving compounds on every load, every day, for the life of the store.
The screen is a sales channel
A touchscreen turns the machine into a point of sale: extra rinse, hot wash, longer spin, sanitise and premium cycles are offered at the moment of decision, priced individually. Uptake on upgrade options is the cheapest revenue in the business - no extra floor area, no extra staff.
It also removes the biggest cause of first-visit abandonment: confusion. A guided, plain-language, multi-language sequence gets a first-time customer through a wash correctly.
A fit-out that markets itself
The launch store pairs the stainless-steel-front Touch washers with a stacked, numbered dryer wall, overhead TVs and polished concrete - a room that photographs well, feels bright and safe after dark, and gives customers something to watch while they wait.
It opened with a full grand-opening event, and the fit-out did the talking: the machine line itself is the merchandising.
What it means for an Australian build
Australian vended stores are increasingly cashless and increasingly unattended. A screen-led machine with app payment, remote pricing and remote diagnostics is what makes an unattended store financially safe to run.
Our WED-series specification is built on the same design philosophy - high extraction, intelligent control, serviceable heavy-duty construction - matched to Australian power, water and gas requirements.

What this means for an Australian build
- Compare washers on G-force, not just capacity. Extraction is a drying-cost decision.
- Specify machines that can sell cycle upgrades - the margin arrives without extra floor space.
- Choose a control platform with remote pricing and diagnostics before you consider unattended trading hours.
