Tough Plus

Six reasons the total cost of ownership is lower.

Quality, reliability, innovation, toughness and value - the same core since 1955, now with smart controls and local Australian support.

Engineering

Better parts, fewer repairs

Built to conserve water and power and to keep running - so the repair bill stays small.

Longevity

30-year machines are normal

The longest-lasting washers and dryers in the category - many still earning after three decades.

Built tough

Commercial grade, top warranty

Commercial components and heavy manufacturing mean more uptime and fewer lost trading days.

Max efficiency

Lowest cost per kilo

Automatic Savings dosing, drum-mounted drain valve and reversing dryer drums cut water, gas and power.

High extraction

The washer starts the drying

More water out in the spin means shorter dryer cycles - the biggest running cost in any store.

Support

Local people, end to end

Site analysis, finance, installation, programming, trained technicians and local spares through Aqualogic.

Technology

Engineered where it affects your margin.

Wascomat washers are designed to work as a system with Wascomat dryers. The washer initiates the drying process - the higher the extraction G-Force, the less water leaves the machine in the linen, and the less time and energy the dryer has to spend.

Automatic Savings (AS)

The machine weighs every load and adds precisely the right amount of water for that weight - not a fixed fill. On a store running hundreds of cycles a week, that is a measurable reduction in water, heating energy and detergent with no change to wash quality.

Drain valve on the outer drum

The drain valve is mounted directly on the outer drum rather than downstream, so less water sits in the machine each fill. Less water to heat, less detergent to dose, faster fill and drain steps.

Best-in-class drum perforation

The perforation pattern and king-size ribs lift soil away from the fabric and out through the drum instead of recirculating it, so the mechanical action does more of the work and chemistry can be dialled back.

Super Balance load distribution

Out-of-balance loads are detected and redistributed before high-speed extraction. Combined with the heavy-duty frame and bearing package this protects bearings and the frame, extends machine life and avoids water leakage on unbalanced loads.

Four-compartment supply dispenser

A unique 4-compartment dispenser handles prewash, main wash, bleach and softener, and works with manual dosing or an automatic liquid supply system.

Sanitising rinse

A dedicated sanitising rinse option gives customers verified peace of mind - a strong differentiator for family, medical, gym and short-stay linen trade.

Control & programming

A touchscreen that sells, not just starts.

The Clarus Vibe control is the commercial heart of the machine. Ten built-in cycles cover day-one trading; beyond that you can build more than 180 custom programs, price them independently, and change them by time of day.

For an Australian operator that means a wash menu tuned to your suburb - doonas, workwear, gym, delicates - with upgrade prompts that raise revenue per turn without adding a machine.

  • ✓7 in HD colour touchscreen with 10 built-in wash cycles
  • ✓180+ custom programs so pricing and cycle mix can match your local market
  • ✓Cycle upgrade options (extra rinse, hot wash, sanitise) that lift average spend per turn
  • ✓Real-time clock for happy-hour and promotional pricing
  • ✓Display in up to 35 languages - critical in multicultural Australian catchments
  • ✓Fully brandable walk-up screens
  • ✓Door unlocks immediately at end of cycle - no dwell time, faster machine turnover
  • ✓Front USB port for program loading, audit data and fast service
  • ✓Optional text messaging and voice guidance

Dewatering economics

Every extra G leaves the dryer less to do.

Shorter dryer cycles

Less retained moisture means fewer minutes of gas or electric drying per load - the largest controllable energy cost in a laundromat.

More turns per day

Faster cycle-to-cycle time on both washer and dryer lifts the number of paid turns each machine can deliver at peak.

Lower cost per kilo

Water, heating and detergent all fall per kilo washed, which is what actually moves a store's net margin.

Installation

What the site has to give the machine.

1. Floor and structure

Check the dynamic floor load figure for the model against your slab or floor structure. Soft-mount machines do not require bolting down; solid-mount machines require a concrete foundation and are not suitable for upper-floor or above-basement installation.

2. Plumbing

20 mm (3/4 in) inlets per supply, 200–600 kPa recommended pressure. Larger models take cold, hot and re-use inlets. Provide isolating valves and strainers at each inlet.

3. Drainage

75 mm drain outlet at 105 mm centreline height. Size the trench or gully for simultaneous discharge of every machine on the row - under-sized drainage is the single most common Australian fit-out fault.

4. Electrical

Protect each machine with a properly rated common-trip circuit breaker only. Typical draw is 0.8–1.3 A with a 10 A breaker per machine on single phase.

5. Clearances and access

Allow service clearance behind and beside the row, and check door-bottom height for ergonomic loading and trolley access.

6. Commissioning

Installation and servicing must be carried out by qualified, licensed personnel per the installation manual and local codes. Warranty is void if the machine is not properly installed.

Refer installation and servicing to qualified, licensed personnel. Always read the installation and operating manuals and consult local codes before installation. Protect machines with properly rated, common-trip circuit breakers only. Warranty is void if the machine is not properly installed.

Options & upgrades

Specify it once, correctly.

Front panel finish

White as standard, shiny stainless steel as an optional upgrade - worth specifying on the front row of a premium fit-out.

Automatic liquid dosing

Pump-ready connections for external liquid supply systems, or manual dosing via the 4-compartment dispenser.

Voltage flexibility

Most sizes available in single-phase configurations, so old top-load or front-load machines can be swapped out without rewiring the store.

Steam connection

Available on models where steam heating is specified - typically commercial or on-premise laundry work rather than pure vended.

Re-use water inlet

A third inlet on larger models lets you feed recovered or softened water, cutting mains consumption per cycle.

Cycle upgrades

Sell extra rinse, hot wash and sanitise as paid upgrades on the touchscreen to lift revenue per turn.

Payment & connectivity

Cashless, card and app-ready - your choice of platform.

Every Wascomat AUS vended washer is payment-agnostic and ships ready for coin, card, app and cashless vend. We configure it to the platform you already run - or help you choose. The core Australian payment systems we support are Tangerpay, Bubblepay, Nayax and AirWallet, covering tap-to-pay, in-app and QR pay plus loyalty, alongside per-machine revenue and utilisation reporting, service alerts and remote monitoring.

Ask us which platform best matches your site, loyalty scheme and multi-store plans.

FAQ

Operator questions, answered.

Can these washers go on an upper floor?

Soft-mount machines absorb extraction forces internally, so they can be installed on suspended, timber and upper-level floors without a bolt-down concrete foundation. Solid-mount machines cannot.

What water pressure and flow do I need?

200–600 kPa at 20 mm inlets. Flow ranges from 20 L/min per inlet on the smallest models to 60 L/min on the largest. Larger machines use three inlets - cold, hot and re-use.

Why does G-Force matter?

The washer starts the drying process. More water extracted means shorter dryer cycles, lower gas and power cost per kilo, and more turns per machine per day.

Can I mix sizes in one store?

Yes - parts are interchangeable from one machine size to another and every model runs the same control platform, so programming, staff training and spares stay simple.

Can I monitor and price remotely?

Yes. Every Wascomat AUS machine works with the core Australian payment platforms - Tangerpay, Bubblepay, Nayax and AirWallet - giving you per-machine revenue and utilisation reporting, service alerts, diagnostics and remote pricing, plus card, app and cashless pay for customers.
